About Mohamed
Mohamed Lachkar is the founder and editor of FamilyDecode. He leads the site’s editorial direction and develops practical resources designed to make family routines, organization, communication, and everyday problem-solving easier to put into practice.
His role is not to present himself as a pediatrician, psychologist, or licensed healthcare professional. FamilyDecode is an educational resource. When a topic involves health, development, safety, or other specialist guidance, the goal is to distinguish practical family support from professional advice and to rely on credible sources for factual claims.
Why I created FamilyDecode
Family life can become complicated quickly: mornings get rushed, responsibilities become unclear, conversations turn tense, and good advice can be difficult to translate into something a family can actually use. I created FamilyDecode to bridge that gap between information and action.
The idea behind the name is simple: first understand what is happening, then choose a realistic plan, try it in everyday life, and adjust it based on what works for your family.
What I focus on
- Family routines and weekly planning
- Family organization, calendars, chores, and household systems
- Family communication and structured family meetings
- Practical parenting resources and problem-solving guides
- Printable planners, worksheets, checklists, and journals
- Turning research and established guidance into clear, usable next steps
The FamilyDecode approach
FamilyDecode uses a four-part framework to keep advice practical rather than overwhelming:

How FamilyDecode content is created
- Start with a specific family question, friction point, or planning need.
- Define the searcher’s problem and give a direct answer before expanding into detail.
- Use credible sources when factual, health, safety, or developmental claims require support.
- Translate information into steps, examples, planners, checklists, or other practical resources.
- Review pages for clarity, usefulness, internal consistency, and outdated information.
- Correct material errors when they are identified and update important resources as guidance changes.
Editorial standards & transparency
Trust matters, especially when families are looking for help. FamilyDecode aims to clearly separate sourced facts from its own educational frameworks and practical suggestions. Credentials, professional review, user numbers, ratings, and research findings should never be claimed unless they can be substantiated.
